Here, as promised, is a list of the Races from the 2nd World, 4th Island:
I'm going to randomly pick several, I doubt you'd want to be overwhelmed with a complete list all at once.
The Hardhuc'e: Gargoyles, Smart yet Ruthless. Started in a valley between The Forests and the Hills, with a large river flowing South.
The Hardhuce are an Aggressive race, expansionist and treat non-flyers as lower caste and therefore lesser existance.
The Quartox: Crystilline Humanoids, Talented yet Frugal. Started Deep in the Mountain Valleys, They like to sit and think.
The Verdemati: A Goblin Race, Started mid forest, between some trees and some rocky Trees. A Hardy bunch, they like to explore and discover and take.
The Letai: Clever and Stalwart, Lord Korol of the Volyer Tribe is in charge of the Letai, a Bird-man race.
The PodZemel: Dwarves of the Burning Heart, They Worship their God(ess?) and are quite Skills in their Labours, They seek to build a great Home in this new world.
The Ultharians, Bipedal Cats, Ruled by King G'Reyfurr of the Lunaskeia, They are careful with their trades yet free with their love making, as a result, their population growth is a little problem.
As it stands, 10 turns into the game, the Hardhuce and the Quartox were playing the long game, devoting their turns to technology, The Verdemati seem to be expansive, the Letai were cautious, while the Podzemel and the Ultharians were growing and exploring.
Theres not much to say more than that. I liked that the players were being very creative in their race choices, their starting traits and their names, This is what the game was all about, creative people, creating interesting places that can one day be visited by other places..
Already I'm keen to see what kind of kingdom the Ultharians and the Quartox are going to build.
The Hardhuce and the Letai can fly, but they does give them a weight & strength disadvantage, will they survive the long game.
and we always like some classic Goblins and Dwarves in our Fantasy Adventures, so I'm glad many players took their second race as something that is a nice stock standard for a fantasy like world.. though, these goblins do seem to be more tinkerers and less raider/snatchers.
