Pre Blog World Notes

Greetings and Salutations,

This Blog is a Cronicle of Events that have taken place in the Third World set in the Dungeonworld (tm1994) game created by Bannister Nicholas, under the ownership of Escape From Reality Games, or EFRGames for short.

The World was pre-created as a massive multiplayer roleplay game, 'Fantasy Kingdoms', which is a Worldbuilder Game. While it works in an office of 80 people, face to face collaboration, it fails as a group of separate people from around the world. So due to life, issues and such, 50 odd players were not able to meet weekly(online) to discuss their turns. As a result, a half finished game world exists, Within it the remains of several kingdoms, ideals and goals were established, yet never realised.
One of the Map results from the first play of Fantasy Kingdoms.

For the purposes of the Original Players, Promises made by myself, I have gathered a smaller group, who will be playing out the game turns, slowly, and I will Chronicle those turns in this blog, so the Original players can read, maybe even rejoin us as time goes by, and the promised maps can be built and distributed.

The Format will be structured, somewhat as a List of Events, Often they may only be something along these lines:

The Race of Fimorgi, The 11th Summer

This summer, the Fimorgi built a granary, their scouts camped to recover from their losses & train new recruits, The Goblins were spotted moving their camp north, away from the Fimorgi. [Map]

Whats this all for?

I have had in the past, as many as 7 games-masters all using the same world, dynamically, synchronously allowing interaction between players. The Level of interest in this style of play is a step up from standard roleplay. So In an effort to make sure we're all on the same page, and allow other games-masters to get in on this gig, This blog is an open list of events, which will include some maps and such, for GMs to either cherry pick, or engage in the whole. No point in spending hundreds of hours making up some awesome, realistic, structured, player created maps, to just let it sit on my shelves and use it once a week for a select group of players.

My Next Blog will be a List of the "Kingdoms" as it stood at the last turn played. I'll be sending invites to those players to 'influence' their turns if they so wish, but the game crew will be pushing forward each week with some turns, and I'll blog those results.

Stay tuned.
